Sprott Shares is a relatively new initiative at the Sprott School of Business, and we need your support! Through Sprott Shares our volunteers collect gently used household goods (kitchen goods, linens, etc.) and clothing (especially winter boots and coats and business attire) from faculty, staff, other students and members of the community at large which we re-distribute, free of charge, to our students at two annual events in August and March of each year.

The cost of living in Ottawa is high, especially for international students who are faced with fluctuating currency conversion values, and not having family support in the local area. Through Sprott Shares we can help all our students (undergraduate, Masters and PhD) to meet some of their needs and keep their focus on their studies – where it should be!

Through the Sprott Shares Fund, donors make it possible for us to continue this effort. We urgently need to find storage space, such as a re-purposed container, to sort and organize goods as they are donated. We need equipment, like storage tubs, shelving and dollies to move goods. And we need to ensure that this space is safe for our volunteers to work in.

Your donation makes it possible for us to continue to help our students financially and welcome them into the Sprott and Carleton communities.
