The Robert J. Backstrom Memorial Bursary in Biology is awarded annually to a full-time student in demonstrated financial need who is enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  Eligible students will be in good academic standing.  Endowed in 2019 by Thanh-Van Hoang and family in memory of Robert J. Backstrom to pay tribute to his life and memory.
