Awarded annually when merited, by the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, on the recommendation of the Director of the School of Public Policy and Administration, to one or more outstanding graduate students. Eligible recipients will be engaged in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary studies within the School of Public Policy and Administration. Preference will be for students who demonstrate potential for public service. Endowed in 2015 by the estate of Alexandra Cowie in honour of her late sister and brother-in-law, Doreen and Robert Loosmore who both served with the Allied forces during World War II and in peacetime had careers with the Public Service of Canada.
