Awarded annually, when merited, by the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, on the recommendation of the Chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, to outstanding students in the second year of either the master’s or doctoral program in Civil Engineering, who are also in financial need. The successful candidates’ research should be in the area of sustainable transportation, as defined by the United Nations or the Canadian Federal Government. Recipients must be Canadian Citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrant or a protected person) and must also meet OSAP’s Ontario residency requirement.
