This Lecture will be delivered annually by correspondents with experience reporting from conflict zones. It will bring public awareness to the importance and impact of journalism that bears witness in troubled areas around the world. Journalists play a complex and critical role in this digital age, and this is particularly true in the context of media working in regions marked by warfare. An advisory committee of national and or international journalists, chaired by the head of the Journalism program of the School of Journalism and Communication and reviewed annually, may offer recommendations for Peter Stursberg Foreign Correspondence lecturers. The responsibility for any final decision rests with the Journalism program.
