Men’s Soccer Excellence Fund

The team is excited to return to the field and compete in this season. We have gained a new sense of appreciation and deeper passion for what it means to be a Raven. We seek opportunities to further develop our student-athletes on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.

HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS

This season our target is to enhance and apply sports performance analytics into our programming. With your gift, we plan to acquire a third-party game analytics platform that will allow our coaches and players to dive deeper into our game day performance.

Performance analytics have come a long way since the days of simply filming games. Tracking hardware and software technology allow us to collect and analyze sophisticated game day data. This kind of performance analysis gives factual and objective information to our athletes so that they can continue their sport development and see long-term success.

: A message from Raphael Garcia, Men’s Team Captain, the 2023 2nd Team All-Canadian All-star, the 2023 OUA 1st Team All-star, and Law student.

“As my career as a Raven is coming to an end, I wanted to take the time to say a few words to our fans, our alumni, and our donors.

After missing out on Nationals last year, losing many key players who have now graduated, and getting a new head coach a few weeks before the season started, this team had to overcome a lot of adversity in a short amount of time.

Led by new head coach Marcelo Plada, our team was quickly built on the foundations of selflessness, mindfulness, courage, and family. And just like any family, we had our ups and downs, but our young team  showed cohesion and growth throughout the season, surpassing expectations and demonstrating that a collective spirit can triumph over adversity.

To our alumni, the Bronson faithful, who have showed their unconditional support for the program throughout the years, thank you. The memories of our remarkable 2021 journey and the privilege of hosting every playoff game in my hometown of Ottawa, culminating in lifting the trophy before you all, will forever be cherished. This year’s OUA Championship is truly yours!

To our generous donors, expressing the depth of gratitude for your contributions is a difficult task. Simply put, your support is the driving force behind making this program among the nation’s finest, shaping a bright future for us all.

As I bid farewell to the team, I assure each one of you that this young core is committed to continuous improvement, overcoming past shortcomings at the national level, and will continue to work towards clinching our first-ever national championship in the years to come.

Thank you for everything,

Rapha “
