Carleton University Art Gallery (CUAG) is a vital cultural hub on the Carleton University campus, connecting art, ideas and communities. CUAG cares for Carleton University’s art collection, a rich teaching and research resource that supports the University’s core academic mission. CUAG provides physical and intellectual access to the collection through research and study, exhibitions, publications, online platforms and the loan of artworks to other public institutions.
John McKinven and Bill Brown have been collecting art for almost forty years. Along the way, they developed a deep respect for CUAG’s artistic journey, especially its teaching and learning component. They are committed to helping CUAG offer opportunities and support to those exploring its collection, finding meanings in the works, and developing ways to communicate these ideas in the university and broader communities.
