Awarded to an outstanding student in a Bachelor of Engineering program in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Preference will be given for a student proceeding from second to third year, as well, preference will be given to a student who has performed well in the courses of Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics or Thermodynamics and who has demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities and community service. This award is renewable for a second year contingent upon performance in the students previous year of the program being at least as good as that in the first year in which they received the award. Eligible students may either apply for consideration or be nominated by a colleague. A candidate will be selected on the recommendation of the Chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in consultation with a selection committee.
