Awarded annually to a deserving student athlete who is a member of Carleton University’s Varsity Men’s Basketball program and who is proceeding from one year to another in any area of study. Eligible students must be listed on a CIS/OUA Eligibility Certificate as member of the Carleton University interuniversity men’s basketball team in their previous academic year.  Preference will be for a top defensive player. A committee determined by the Awards Office and the Department of Physical Recreation and Athletics will select the recipient of the award. This award was established in honour of Ian Kelley BSc/70, a former Ravens player.
