Awarded annually by the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs to a deserving graduate student within the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering who is a resident of Ontario and requires financial assistance to continue his/her studies at Carleton University. Recipients will demonstrate financial need, must be Canadian Citizens or permanent residents of Canada (landed immigrant or a protected person), and must meet OSAP’s Ontario Residency requirements. Preference is given to students who are undertaking studies in the field of telecommunications, and more specifically in the area of telecommunications network performance or management, of the highest academic level of excellence in collaboration with one or a consortium of Canadian corporations. Endowed in 1997, the donors include colleagues, family and friends in memory and honour of the late Dr. Roger Kaye, Professor of Systems and Communication Engineering.
