The Dick & Ruth Bell Lecture Series has been established in the Department of Political Science to provide for a series of lectures to be devoted to political matters, political parties, or political organizations, either from an existing or historical perspective. In each year, one or more lectures will be presented by distinguished scholars in the field of political science or by distinguished persons having served in the public life of Canada or one of its provinces. The lectures were introduced in 1992 as a bequest in memory of Dick Bell and now further supported by the estate of Judy Bell and Ruth herself.
