Value $1,000. Awarded annually to undergraduate students in demonstrated financial need who are entering or continuing in a degree program in the Sprott School of Business. Established in 2022 in loving memory of Bruce Ingram BComm/67 by family and friends.

Bruce Rodney Ingram, 79, of Oakville Ontario, passed away on December 2nd, 2022 after a prolonged battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Bruce grew up in Verdun, Quebec. With a life-long love for athletics, he played varsity football and hockey for McGill 1962-63, then transferred to Carleton University where he played varsity hockey and graduated with a degree in Commerce in 1967. He was the first in his family to reach this level of academic achievement. Always an entrepreneur, he went on to establish a successful business of his own (CSL Hospital Services, Ltd.) and enjoyed the opportunity to learn from fellow CEOs as part of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). While Bruce was proud of his professional accomplishments, there was nothing more important to him than family. He also believed strongly in the importance of education and its ability to open doors and create opportunity. The Bruce Ingram Memorial Bursary was established by his family and friends to support undergraduate students in financial need and will be awarded annually to a student in the Sprott School of Business. It is hoped that this bursary will aid students like Bruce- those that are stubborn, headstrong, and who will go on to do big things in this world.
