Awarded annually to outstanding graduate students enrolled in the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs or the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton University who demonstrate an interest in combining international development studies and journalism. Eligible recipients will be conducting a study-related project in a developing country or countries. Application is required and applications must include a detailed statement of interest, official transcripts and a research proposal describing the applicant’s travel project component. Statements of interest and research proposals should not exceed 4 pages in length. Request for additional information should be directed to the Director of the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs or the Director of the School of Journalism and Communication. The Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research will make the final selection.
