Awarded annually, by the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, to one outstanding female graduate student enrolled in either a mathematics or an engineering program. To be eligible the student must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada (landed immigrant or a protected person), must meet OSAP’s Ontario residency requirements and must demonstrate financial need. Endowed in 2004 by Lisa Shapiro (B.A. 1968, B.J. 1969) and the late Bill Hersh (B.J. 1969). Revised 2009.
