Football Locker Campaign

Football Locker Campaign

The Rundown

Since returning to the field four years ago, Ravens Football has celebrated many milestones, including in 2016:

  • our best win/loss record since returning to league play;
  • a decisive Panda Game win and playoff game win against the Ottawa Gee Gees;
  • hosting the first playoff home game in 31 years; and
  • 13 Ravens were named to the 2016 OUA All-Star teams.

Philanthropic support is essential to the continued success of Ravens Football, and donors who commit to give a minimum of $300/year for five years are recognized with a plaque in the locker room.

The Background

The Ravens Football locker room has 90 lockers. The generosity of donors is recognized on customized plaques that can include a message of support or a tribute to someone special. To date, more than 40 lockers have been ‘named’, recognizing gifts from parents of current players, alumni (Old Crows) and corporate donors. Three new Old Crows (graduating just this past June) were so excited to give back to the team that gave them so much that they are already donors and have their plaques up in the locker room.

The Rollout

A gift of $300/year for five years toward Ravens Football will be recognized with the naming of a locker. The gift can be made as one payment ($1,500), or as a pledge over either three years ($500/year for three years) or five years ($300/years for five years). Your name, company name or the name of someone you wish to honour will be displayed on a customized plaque next to the nameplate of a student-athlete and will be displayed for five years.

The Benefits

Your gift will support the team’s day-to-day operations, recruitment, community outreach and other activities. You will help ensure student-athletes succeed both on and off the field.

Your plaque will be viewed by student-athletes on a daily basis. Our locker room is also used by professional sports teams (i.e. Ottawa Redblacks training camp) and Junior Ravens children and youth sports camps. The locker room is also used for special receptions and pre-game tours for donors and sponsors.
