Ravens Racing is Carleton University’s Formula SAE Team. FSAE is an international student engineering competition to design and build a formula style race car. Every year a new car is designed, built, tested and then brought to international competitions against 100’s of other teams. The team behind Ravens Racing consists of 4th year engineering students as part of their capstone project, and a volunteer team consisting of students interested in the race cars. FSAE enables these students to get involved in a project which pushes them to the limit, helping them develop skills and relationships that last a lifetime.

Your support will help the team purchase material and equipment needed to build the best possible race car each year. The success of our team has been due to the ability to buy the best possible equipment within our budget in order develop a reliable and lightweight car, as well as cover the costs of operating a racing team such as tires, fuel and competition costs.

Funding Ravens Racing has a significant impact on the entire team since it enables the team to design & purchase high quality parts and reduce financial limitations for innovative designs & research. The team typically consists of over 50 active students each year and many alumni who still help out to this day. The experience FSAE provides is one of a kind where our team members develop their technical skills and interpersonal skills which cannot be taught in a classroom environment.
