In 1967, the Department of Law and Legal Studies emerged as the first unit in Canada to study law within an interdisciplinary context. Since then, it has grown to offer the largest and most extensive undergraduate and graduate programs in legal studies in the country. In 2017, we celebrate not only Carleton University’s 75th anniversary, but the 50th anniversary of our department as well!

This project is a special campaign to raise scholarship funds in commemoration of the Department of Law and Legal Studies’ upcoming 50th anniversary.

Through the Law and Legal Studies 50th Anniversary Scholarship we hope to raise $10,000, to be awarded at $2000 per annum over five years, to a deserving graduate student recipient each year. Each scholarship will go towards the cost of tuition and associated expenses and is an investment in student education and achievement.
