The Ravens swim team recently got back in the pool and is training enthusiastically under the guidance of new head coach, Pierre Lafontaine.
As a competitive club team, the funds provided by Carleton are limited, so we look to our supporters to help the team succeed. The team relies on a successful Future Funder campaign on Giving Tuesday to reduce the financial burden on the athletes and allow the team to excel in the pool as well as in the classroom.
Due to COVID, all sanctioned University competitions are cancelled for the season. Thus, the funds raised will go towards the cost of pool rental and coach salaries, as well as subsidizing the cost of team gear.
The funds raised last year enabled the team to have the first Florida training camp in over a decade. This contributed to the team’s success at OUAs. There were many personal best times set, and Carleton moved up in the standings.
With your support, Carleton Ravens Swimming will continue to succeed far into the future. As in the past, our athletes will continue to pursue both academic and athletic success, while enjoying their newfound freedom and responsibility as young student-athletes.
