The Ravens swim team has made great strides in the past five years, more than doubling in size and setting multiple Ravens team records. This season we are planning our first Florida training camp in over a decade.
As a competitive club team, the funds provided by Carleton are limited, so we look to our supporters to help the team succeed. The team relies on a successful Future Funder campaign on Giving Tuesday to reduce the financial burden on the athletes and allow the team to excel in the pool as well as in the classroom.
We plan to use the funds raised to send the team to Guelph for the Boles Divisional Championships at the end of November, and to Toronto for the OUA Championships in February. Any remaining funds will go towards the cost of pool rental and coach salaries, as well as subsidizing the cost of team gear and training camp in Florida over New Year’s.
With your support, Carleton Ravens Swimming will continue to succeed far into the future. As in the past, our athletes will continue to pursue both academic and athletic success, while nonetheless enjoying their newfound freedom and responsibility as young student-athletes.
