Support the Sprott School of Business MBA Society by sending a group of future leaders to the 2023 MBA Games!
From January 6th to 8th, the 2023 Sprott MBA class will be visiting York University to compete in Canada’s largest collegiate competition. The MBA Games provides the unique opportunity to gather students from diverse backgrounds to collaborate, think outside the box, build effective teams, and challenge themselves. The event takes place over three days, where students complete academic, athletic, and spirit events while networking with industry leaders and representing Carleton University.
With your support, you can inspire the next generation of industry leaders to utilize the values of community, collaboration, and creativity to make positive changes in our interconnected world.
The MBA Games is one of the only events for graduate-level business students across the country to come together in the spirit of friendly competition. The Sprott School of Business has organized a team of driven individuals to best use their creativity and diverse backgrounds to represent our university on a national level. For many of our students, this event is the first opportunity of its kind for them to experience.
The MBA Games focus on values of community, collaboration, and creativity to reimagine the relationship between businesses and the environment. As this group of students will be the leaders of tomorrow, it is crucial that they gain real experience building invaluable team-building skills. This year’s theme is ‘reimagine,’ and it will be embedded in all components of the Games. Students will be challenged to think strategically through case studies, presentations, networking, and athletic tournaments.
Funds will be used to assist us in paying for the registration fee, transport, room, and board for the MBA Games team during the 2023 games. As well, it will contribute to producing MBA games promotional material, and it will fund programming sessions to develop our team’s professional skills.
The MBA Games provide a unique social and academic experience for students, strengthening the connections between students and encouraging dynamic learning. By providing students the hands-on experience in team building and effective collaboration, they will take these skills into their professional and academic lives. The MBA Games is an opportunity to take risks, make lifelong friendships, build confidence, and develop professional skills.
As the competition is a national event, participation will build relationships with other business schools across the country, strengthening the network of the Sprott School of Business. Even further, this event is an opportunity for the Sprott School of Business to gain recognition on a national stage.
Supported participation in this event shows students that the community is encouraging their academic and professional success. Strong engagement in the MBA Games directly relates to a positive alumni commitment once this class graduates from their programs and our alumni network are invaluable to the future success of the university.
