Last year marked the 30th Anniversary of the Carleton University Ravens Women’s Soccer program. The women’s team is now taking the next step in player development and recruitment, as we continue to strive to become one of the most elite programs in the country. The Ravens took the field for the first time in the fall of 1987 and have been a perennial OUA playoff contender ever since. In addition to many OUA final four appearances, the Ravens participated in two National Championships in 1995 and 2001.
Our women’s soccer alumni chapter goal is to create awareness for vital areas where alumni and fans can support the program whether it is through volunteering and/or philanthropy. In addition, the chapter strives to create a feeling of goodwill towards the soccer program and use key events as an opportunity to welcome back our alumni to campus every year.
The team’s priority is focused on the need to directly support our players in order to allow them to reach their full potential as student athletes. We have the opportunity to advance the program to another level with our impending entry into the RESQ winter league. This league will allow our players to compete against top U Sports talent in an ultra-competitive indoor environment. Your support would go towards funding our participation in the winter league, fund field and general league fees, and travel expenses to spread Ravens spirit during away games.
Your support will help our players be the best they can be both on and off the field! Your donations allow us to continue to ensure that our team is as accessible as possible, and reduces financial barriers so that those from all socioeconomic backgrounds may participate.
