Carleton University Troitsky Bridge Building Team is a student group that provides opportunities to undergraduate engineering students to apply the concepts learned in their classes to a real world situation through competing in the annual Troitsky Bridge Building Competition held in Montreal. The competition allows students to compete in a nationwide competition improving their teamwork, analytical and presentation skills in a positive environment, building large bridge models out of strictly wooden popsicle sticks, white glue, and floss. The event finale is a crushing ceremony in which the Universities prove their spirit and bridge strength.

The Background

Funding this team is incredibly important to the students who will be enjoying their time in Montreal gaining invaluable experience and making friends across the country. The students attending the Troitsky Bridge Building Competition will be able to hone their engineering skills in a team environment, and represent Carleton at a national level.

The Rollout

The funds secured from you help make the trip to Montreal possible. Every amount donated will go towards registration, travel, and spirit, offsetting the out of pocket costs of our team members, and ensuring success for our team.

The Impact

Every donation is critical to the development of our young engineering students and will hopefully help the bridges built achieve high rankings at the competition; the only thing stronger will be the bonds built among competitors.
