Carleton University has a much deserved reputation as being one of, if not the most, accessible post-secondary institution in Canada. To preserve and grow on that, a partnership between the Carleton University Students’ Association, Paul Menton Centre and Attendant Services is being launched to directly address and assist students with financial needs to overcome barriers that prohibit them from academic success and campus-life well-being. This unique partnership seeks to help both on-campus and off-campus students thrive and reduce the financial stress and burden that many of these students carry. This initiative will be managed by this group and funds will go directly to the students.
Recognizing that this is an ongoing issue and students with physical disabilities face many financial issues that they can not carry alone. This group and initiative seeks to continue to make Carleton University a sought-after academic option for students with physical disabilities.
This fund will be provided directly to students with disabilities to lessen their financial burdens.
