The Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre extends Carleton’s footprint out to the city by providing meaningful opportunities for engagement with the on-campus and broader community. As Carleton’s Arts, Performance and Learning Centre, CDCC is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that serves individuals with diverse needs. This campaign will help raise funds to advance accessibility for Carleton University students, researchers, community user groups and guests.
As a leader in accessibility, Carleton University has a mission to make our campus and community more accessible for all. In aligning with this commitment, the fund will help ensure those from diverse demographics and of various physical abilities will have increased access to the space as both guests and user groups.
As a historical 1912 heritage building, funds raised will advance accessibility at Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre by enhancing the space through special accessibility projects, looking at new door operators and accessible signage.
Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre hosts a breadth of community and Carleton-led initiatives for individuals of all abilities and demographics including Propeller Dance, Speaking Vibrations, MSSC Research Groups, Carleton’s Lifelong Learning Program and experiential learning opportunities for students. By helping us advance accessibility at CDCC, you are sharing in our conviction to create a more accessible community for all.
